Back at the motel, Shaneka met Trixie in the lobby. The two embraced and headed up to her room.

“I’m sorry for today, but I had to make a move,” Shaneka confessed.

“It’s all good. I know things have been a lil rough,” Trixie said.

“Anyway, show me what you got!” Shaneka grabbed the bags from Trixie’s hands. “Oohh wee! Baby Phat!” Shaneka exclaimed, going through the blouses and jeans spread out across her bed.

“Nothing but the flyest for my girl!” Trixie mused.

“Girl, you going to spoil me!” Shaneka smiled as she headed to try on her new clothes.

Trixie returned the smile. “You deserve it!” she said as she sat on the bed to wait.

Suddenly, Trixie began to cough. When she removed her hand from over her mouth, she viewed the sight of blood. Instantly, she panicked. “Neka, I gotta go!” she called, feeling light-headed.

“What’s the rush? You’ve never had a curfew!” Shaneka said, opening her bathroom door to an empty room. She looked around. “That’s weird.” In the blink of an eye, she was back in the mirror admiring her sophisticated look.

As Trixie made her way home, her insides began to burn. She began to scream as the pain began to eat away at her. It felt as though all the vessels in her brain were bursting all at once. She fell over onto her back and started to twitch. One spectator stopped and called an ambulance.

As the paramedics pulled up, Trixie’s eyes rolled back in her head, and she took her last breath. Onlookers were horrified as the teenage girl died before their very eyes.

Suddenly, Trixie’s phone began to chirp. “Hello?” a voice answered.

“May I speak to Trixie?” a confused Shaneka questioned.

“I’m sorry but your friend is being taken to the hospital as we speak. She had an accident on the street, and I don’t think she’s gonna make it,” the paramedic informed.

Shaneka grabbed her purse and raced out of the door.
